A mobile, zero-emission music and event platform.
A retro caravan re-engineered into a professional, self-contained DJ and event stage — premium QSC sound, its own battery power, towed by an EV. It arrives, opens, and the party starts.

No venue power, no scaffold build, no generator hum. theboombox carries everything a professional show needs and deploys in under an hour.
Deployable tops and bass stacks each side of stage, rooftop fills on the truss — festival-grade sound from a caravan footprint.
Runs a full performance day on its own silent battery bank. No venue power, no cables across the grass, no diesel.
One tow vehicle, one crew. Arrive, deploy, play — and packed down just as fast when the show's over.
Pro-spec players and mixer, fold-open performance window, LED signage — plus access to Auckland's best DJs through Hudge's network.
Weatherproof for outdoor NZ conditions — from midsummer festivals to a mid-winter Matariki evening.
EV-towed and battery-run — an event platform your sustainability story can actually lead with.
Festivals, matchdays, public programmes, brand launches, private parties — if people gather there, theboombox performs there.
Hudge has spent his life behind Auckland's decks. DJ, event promoter and self-confessed vinyl tragic, he's the founder of HudgeNZ — the event management and DJ outfit behind functions, festivals and parties across Tāmaki Makaurau — and the guy your favourite DJ calls when their Technics need surgery, in his other life as the Turntable Doctor.
Every Sunday morning you'll find him on Auckland's 95bFM hosting Mass Appeal, 10am–midday — two hours of the good stuff. The rest of the week he's building theboombox: the stage he always wished existed, now hitting the road October 2026.
Book theboombox and you don't just get the rig — you get Hudge's network of Auckland's best DJs, and a host who's played every kind of crowd this city can throw at you.
theboombox is built around two founding partnerships — the vehicle that moves it and the sound that defines it — plus room for one naming partner to own the platform's first season.
theboombox tows behind an electric vehicle to every event it plays — a rolling, real-world showcase for the EV brand that powers it. Founding vehicle-partner position available now.
The official sound of theboombox: professional QSC loudspeakers performing in the wild, week after week, at every kind of event New Zealand throws.
